The Emergency Room (ER) is one place where tons of crazy things happen every day.
One day, a nurse captured a photo that illustrates some of the smallest acts of humanity and kindness that occur daily in the ER.
You will get one of the worst feelings when you step into a hospital’s emergency department. However, things are not always tensed inside an ER if you come across a kind doctor like Dr. Muir Wallace. He administers the ER department at the Waikato Hospital, Hamilton, in New Zealand.
Mike Haden-Jones, a clinical nurse specialist, shared a photo of Dr. Wallace comforting a patient’s baby on Facebook with a caption that reads – Sometimes all you need is a hug.
As the mother of the infant was undergoing diagnosis and tests, Dr. Wallace decided to play Good Samaritan to the sick mother as he tried to calm the baby down who badly needed a nap.
Mike said that many people tried to calm the baby down but it was Dr. Wallace who seemed like know what the baby wants.
He carried the baby for almost an hour, walking through the corridors, multi-tasking around the department, as the baby fell asleep on his shoulder.
Mike concluded the post by saying that this is just an example of small kindness that happens every day that is often overlooked.
The post spread like a wildfire reaching netizens from across the globe. They appreciated Dr. Wallace for being an amazing doctor.
