Keith Wolverson says that he is going to quit medicine because of the investigation that is blaming him for discriminating a woman.

Dr. Keith says that he just asked the woman to remove her veil for some safety reasons during the consultation because he couldn’t understand her voice while she was explaining her daughter’s sickness symptoms.

Suddenly, after some time, he received a letter from the General Medical Council, which says that he has been accused of racial discrimination against his patient.

The Doctor claims that he has been practising as a GP for almost 23 years now, but now after this case, he is planning to leave his job no matter whatever the outcome of this investigation be.

Keith says that he feels that it is unfair to even happen and it’s high time to stop treating the doctors like this because this country is hardly left with any doctors right now.

He claims that a doctor’s job is to take care of a patient’s safety while treating them, and that’s what he was doing too.

When the Muslim woman brought her daughter for a checkup at the Royal Stroke University Hospital as she was concerned about her daughter having tonsillitis, the Doctor asked the mother about the symptoms, but he wasn’t able to understand anything because of the veil.

So, the Doctor politely asked the woman to remove her veil so he can hear her clearly, but then she started giving him a dirty look.

The Doctor says that just one request portrayed him as a wrong person in the whole situation, so if being a doctor is going to cost him this, then he doesn’t want to continue the practice.

Everyone has different perceptions about the whole situation as some are questioning the Doctor, and some are in favor of him.
