Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States, continues to live on today with his statues erected in numerous memorials, museums, and certainly, on a five-dollar bill.

Lincoln’s legacy continues in different ways, however, one thing it does not do is play fetch.

Just recently, a video of an exciting dog went viral on social media as the playful pet tries her best to convince Abe (albeit a statue) to play frisbee with her.

On September 13, in The Colony, Texas, the owner seemingly took the pup named Nova for a walk when they passed by Lincoln’s statue.

In the video uploaded in the ViralHog YouTube channel, Nova was seen to be trying her best to convince the former president to play fetch, and she simply couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t throw the Frisbee for her.

“Nova is my 1-year-old border collie,” the owner told ViralHog. “She loves nothing more than playing frisbee and chooses victims of any shape or size to play with her.”

“Even this statue of good ole Abraham Lincoln,” the owner said. “She is excellent at being noticed, but Abe kept his stone-cold gaze and continued to ignore her.”

“Weird… I always pictured him as an animal person,” the owner added. “This took place at Scheels in The Colony, Texas on 9/13/21.”

Moreover, Nova’s owner said that the cheerful loves nothing more than playing Frisbee.

“She loves nothing more than playing Frisbee and chooses victims of any shape or size to play with her,” the owner said. “Even this statue of good ole Abraham Lincoln.”

“She is excellent at being noticed, but Abe kept his stone-cold gaze and continued to ignore her.”

Meanwhile, social media users who watched the viral video are quick enough to express their admiration for Nova.

“That’s just too cute!” one commenter said. “I love it that she’s so innocent about wanting to include another in their game! Sweet!”

“This is so sweet,” another person commented. “Come on Lincoln you know what to.”

“Won’t lie, lost a lot of respect for honest Abe here,” one jokingly said.
