An abandoned dog has captured the hearts of people as he became the cutest greeter ever following his adoption by the gas station where he was left behind by previous owners.
While the beginning of the happy story of Negão the dog dates years back, it is always great to remember one of the cutest greeters we have ever seen.
When Sabrina Plannerer purchased a gas station in Brazil, she knew that she was about to have to hire new workers but she never expected she would be hiring a dog as well.
As Sabrina explained, an adult dog was seen walking around her Shell station while it was still under construction. Allegedly, the pooch was roaming the premises because he was too afraid to leave after getting abandoned there by his previous owners.
Fortunately, the Good Samaritan decided to take care of the dog rather than sending him away.
“We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need. We took him to the vet to get vaccinated and de-wormed. We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on walks,” she said in an interview with The Dodo.
Not only did Negão got a new family but he also landed the best job a dog could ever have. As the station’s greeter, Negão, who was described as the sweetest dog ever, even received his own badge and a cap.
“Negão waits for people to arrive, and then goes up to say hello, winning them over with his charms. Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys,” Sabrina added.
As The Dodo explained, Negão is always taken care of since the station is opened without a break. In addition, the staff allegedly love taking him out for a walk during their free time.
