Dog the Bounty Hunter has reportedly taken another step forward in his hunt for Brian Laundrie as he teamed up with law enforcement.
According to DailyMail.com, Duane Chapman’s representative told the publication that the TV star has teamed up with a law enforcement officer.
Though the rep refused to say which law enforcement agency the Dog is now involved with, they confirmed that the bounty hunter and the officer already began working together on the search for wanted man Brian Laundrie in Florida’s Fort De Soto Park.
“As an example of Dog’s cooperation with law enforcement, a plain clothed officer is embedded with the search team today. No other details are available,” the reps revealed, DailyMail.com reported.
While it remains unclear which agency the plain-clothed officer belongs to, the North Port Police claimed that the person working with Dog wasn’t one of their members.
The news comes as the 68-year-old TV star revealed that he would be adding $10,000 to the cash reward promised to anyone with information leading to the arrest of Brian Laundrie.
As of this writing, the cash reward pool already consists of around $180,000.
In a recent turn of events, it was also discovered that Brian’s sister, Cassie, joined the Laundrie family on September 6 as they camped in Fort De Soto Park despite previously saying she hadn’t seen her brother after he had returned from his trip without Gabby Petito.
As the Dog’s rep claims, it was thanks to Mr. Chapman and the tip he had received that it was revealed that Cassie Laundrie was together with her brother on September 6, less than two weeks before Brian disappeared.
“Dog received a tip that placed Brian’s sister, Cassie, in Fort DeSoto on September 6, which seemingly contradicts her previous statement,” Dog’s rep said before confirming that the information was shared with law enforcement.
“That information was immediately given to law enforcement this morning. It has been corroborated. No further details available.”
