There is no doubt that animals have the ability to show their emotions, especially our four-legged companions.
Dogs wag their tails and jump excitedly when they are happy, their eyes become teary when they’re sad, and they growl when they feel protective of their humans.
Seeing our furry pets build a strong relationship with other animals is not new. Dogs can live with rabbits or cats, and even birds.
One dog formed a close bond with a big, brown cow who acted like his mom when he was a baby. But their relationship was put to a test when the cow had to be sold off.
The owner of the dog noticed their unique but inspiring relationship. Rookie, a tiny and energetic pooch, loved to run and play. He also loved his human family but he loved the brown cow more.
This big cow acted like Rookie’s mother. She would nuzzle him and would lick his coat. There were times when the two would sleep together and the cow let him sit on her back. They were inseparable.
But the cow had to be sold off as the owner didn’t have enough money to keep two cows.
Rookie became so sad and emotional. He barked and howled – sadness was evident in his eyes. The pooch became miserable.
When he heard his momma cow’s moo, he immediately ran down the road. His owner called out his name but Rookie didn’t listen. He followed his mom’s moo until he found her tied up in another stall.
Rookie jumped happily, licking his mom’s face. The owner followed him and carried the happy pooch, scolding him for running away.
The owner carried the dog back home and the two animals were separated once again. When they returned home, Rookie lost his enthusiasm and energy. He wouldn’t eat his favorite food!
That’s when his owner realized that they had to keep the cow for Rookie’s sake. They didn’t want to see him sad. Watch the video to see their emotional reunion!
