A dog has gone viral after his owner revealed she put him up for an important job of delivering homemade cookies to neighbors amid the coronavirus lockdown.
As 28-year-old Kate Mitchell told LADbible, her beloved pooch, Sheldon the British Bulldog, began missing his neighbors terribly after the lockdown was put in place.
Previously, the doggie would often play with customers who arrived at Kate’s makeup studio for a makeover. Following the lockdown, however, Kate has allegedly witnessed a change in Sheldon, whereas he clearly missed socializing with people.
To allow the pooch to have some fun while doing something good, Kate came upon the idea to prepare homemade cookies and allow Sheldon to distribute them to the neighbors.
“Since Sheldon and me have been social distancing and with my workplace being shut, I’ve really noticed Sheldon missing his usual interaction with people,” the businesswoman said in an interview with LADbible.
“So we decided to bake and deliver homemade cookies to our local community and neighbors to cheer everyone up – plus give Sheldon that interaction he’s been craving!”
According to Kate, she escorted Sheldon from house to house while respecting social distancing rules by only letting the bulldog approach other people and hand over the cookies.
As she added, the act of kindness was well-received by the community – because who could resist a charming gentledog like Sheldon?
“The look on some of their faces was beautiful – Sheldon is a very popular and loved dog in the area anyway so people welcomed him in for a quick cuddle! I waited outside obviously,” Kate told LADbible.
