The mixed black bull terrier, Khiew Ngern, could not find his way back home so he started to sniff his way to a place very familiar to him… the vet!

Khiew’s owner lets him and other pooches roam free while she works at a restaurant but when the curious pooch strolled around the streets, he lost his way back.

The four-month-old pup has been a regular at the Phuttaraksa Animal Clinic where he gets his vaccine shots.

While most dogs try to avoid vets, Khiew believed he could get help there so he sniffed his way to the clinic.

Security footage shows the smart pooch trying to get people’s attention by barking and scratching the glass door and windows. Fortunately, someone noticed the persistent pup and recognized him right away.

One Facebook user commented: “Many many years ago, my grandparents’ donkey had done the same. He got lost and then he came back to our house, from the one village to the other, so we could take him back. Sweet donkey, miss him.”

Another shared: “Our dog went to her groomer. Sadly, the groomer knew our dog’s name, but couldn’t remember ours. Luckily, she was chipped. They gave her a free bath while waiting to reach us. Lol.”

A third added: “Years ago my neighbor’s dog would get out of their yard and roam around until he’d had enough. He would come and sit at my front door house because he couldn’t get back into his yard and because he knew if I saw him I’d take him home.”
