Towards the end of the clip, she seems to be somewhat comfortable with the thing but is still shaking her tail rapidly as if she is nodding in disagreement.
The Doberman Pinscher was wearing a makeshift nappy made by her owner Tamara Robinson who feared that Ruby might stain the carpets during her periods.
Tamara made the nappy from a pair of underpants by making a hole in it to fit Ruby’s tail.
Dog diapers are just like those used for human babies and come in two different varieties. They can be disposable or reusable.
Reusable ones can be washed and used again as they are made of cloth and the disposable ones are for single use.
Disposable diapers are an environmentally negative thing so if you need to be eco-friendly, you need to use the ones made of cloth.
There are a number of reasons for which dogs might need to be dressed in nappies. The most common reason for which dogs need to wear a nappy is urinary incontinence.
This is a physiological condition caused by an infection or due to some congenital issue.
In this condition, the urinary sphincter muscle, which controls the release of urine, becomes weak and the dog has no control over the urination process.
Dogs with this condition need to wear a nappy all the time.
Other reasons for using diapers in dogs include using them for aged dogs who have developed urinary tract deformities and have no control over urination.
But no matter why your dog needs a diaper, you need to train them for it so that they feel comfortable while wearing it.
