A beagle owner was stunned after finding out an unusual spot that looks exactly like a dog on her beloved pooch.
While chilling in the backyard of their Yorkshire, UK, home, 31-year-old Shannon Austin spotted an outline resembling a dachshund on the back of her 9-week-old pet, Hazel.
Refusing to believe her eyes at first, the dog owner approached her pup and inspected the mark only to find out that it really looks like a dog.
As seen in the pictures, the uniquely-shaped mark even comes with a different color at the part where the snout is supposed to be, making the outline appear even more realistic.
After sharing the photos on social media, Shannon was flooded with likes and responses from people who suggested that multiple connected layers of reality remind them of the movie Inception.
“I noticed the day I brought her home that she had unusual markings,” the 31-year-old recalled.
“The markings were individual spots when I first met her at 3 weeks old, and now they’ve merged into a dog-like shape. I think it’s amazing and that she’s quite unique.”
While Hazel has a natural pattern that makes her unique, one woman has decided to paint her large Great Dane pink because she got tired of people avoiding her because the pooch looked scary.
21-year-old Jessica Williams from Kentucky, USA, put her 5-month-old pooch Drama through major cosmetic changes to make her look less intimidating and more approachable.
“People are generally scared of big dogs, and I’ve noticed that some people might not approach my dogs as much as little ones,” Jessica said.
“With them being dyed it makes it easier to socialize them because not nearly as many people are afraid – especially when they’re pink and purple.
“It also means that Drama can be the reason someone smiles, and they would be more eager to walk up to us and ask to pet them. And alongside her short, pink nails, it makes it clear to people that she isn’t going to do any harm!”
