Sometimes, you never really know how a pet can surprise you until some extraordinary event happens that brings out that really makes your pet stand out.
Such as forgetting to let the pet in before locking up for the night.
It happened when pet owner Robert Fox was locking up his home for the night in McDonough, Georgia. Everything checked out and the house was secured except that he forgot one very important thing.

When dogs who are used to sleeping inside the house get locked out for the night, they can either curl up in some makeshift shelter nearby or bark or howl loudly to try to get the attention of the owners. But the Fox family’s pet, a Labrador mix named Chika, was more refined. She used the doorbell.
After a few hours, Chika probably decided that her owners forgot about her and that they wouldn’t be opening up to let her in. So she went up and rang the doorbell at 2:18 am and managed to rouse the whole family. A groggy Robert went to investigate but his wife was already at looking at the doorbell cam and saw that it was Chika.
Chika had first rung the bell with her snout and backed off to wait for a response. When none was forthcoming, she rang the bell again, this time with her paw.
Robert said: “This is the first time Chika has rung the doorbell.
“I was in a deep sleep. My wife woke up and nudged me, telling me someone was at the front door.
“I grabbed my shorts and my gun and headed to the front door, but before I could get there, my wife watched the video and saw it was Chika.
“I went back to bed and put the gun away, then went to the door to let Chika in. We laughed about the incident for the rest of the night.
“Chika is doing just fine and is back inside where she belongs.”
