A friendly dog wanted to see his furry friends so badly that he decided to run away from home and traveled more than a mile away to a doggy daycare center.
Hugo escaped from his home in St. Anne and managed to cross a busy road to visit Happy Tails Pet Hotel and Playland, according to a Facebook post.
“Hugo is a frequent boarder here and last week Hugo ran away from home with only one thing on his mind… Happy Tails!”
Staff saw the pooch running across the parking lot and sprinting through the front door. The center shared a surveillance video of Hugo wagging his tail while greeting his pals.
Happy Tails said the dog was “extremely lucky” after “crossing a median on Linderbergh” to hang out with his furry friends.
“We are so glad Hugo wasn’t hurt and told him next time to have his dad drive him,” the post said.
Hugo’s owner saw the hilarious side of the dog preferring his four-legged friends. “All dad could do was laugh as picked Hugo up!”
One person commented: “All dogs go to heaven.”
Another said: “Aww! I hope his owners will take him there to meet his friends more often! Glad he wasn’t hurt.”
A third wrote: “That’s so cute and is a great bit of advertising for Happy Tails as they obviously treat their charges very well.”
Someone else said: “Puppy’s day out!”
