Two dog siblings were caught on camera jumping and hugging each other in a sweet reunion that took place during a random encounter.
As Susan Killip from Aycliffe, England, explained, she was walking her dog Rosie together with her husband when they suddenly came across a similar-looking cockapoo that was being walked by the man’s business partner, David.
After greeting each other, the owners realized that Rosie and Monty, David’s dog, were excitedly jumping and hugging each other with their paws.
“My husband Lee and I took Rosie for a walk one day and bumped into David. Aw, it was so lovely, they both just jumped up and hugged each other, it was amazing, they remembered each other after 10 months of not seeing each other,” Susan Killip said in an interview with Bored Panda.
“I took some photos and sent them to Jean [David’s partner] and that was the last I heard of it until Jean rang me to say David had sent them to a friend who sent them to his daughter Libby and the next thing we know they were on Twitter and, as you know, it’s just gone crazy from there.”
As the dog owners revealed, Monty and Rosie were born in the same litter of six back in 2019. While they had spent several weeks together, the two dogs haven’t seen each other for months until their random encounter.
“She never saw Monty again until about 3 weeks ago, as Jean and David live in the next village, so we never see them. We often text each other to see how the dogs are doing, but we never had time due to work commitments to meet up,” Susan added.
Seeing how thrilled the dogs were to be reunited, the owners decided to bring Rosie and Monty back together as soon as possible.
“When we are allowed to go out and meet people again, we are going to meet up and as it’s nearly Rosie and Monty’s 1st birthday, hopefully we can do something to celebrate it together,” Susan told Bored Panda.
