Some humans take pleasure in torturing innocent animals just because the animals can’t speak.
In one such heinous incident, a man was spotted another man burying a living dog on a beach.
He immediately called PAWS of Hawaii, an animal rescue group in a bid to save the animal Leialoha.
The rescuers dug out the dog from O’ahu beach in Hawaii. But they found the dog with sunburn, 90% of the fur missing, and deep wounds on its legs indicating its owner had used a weapon to hurt it.
Leialoha was taken to Aloha Affordable Veterinary Services. She was treated there for dehydration and severe skin diseases.
After receiving successful treatment, she was expected to bounce back. The staff acknowledged everyone who donated money for her treatment.
A post was put up on Facebook, describing the dog’s ordeal. A woman named Amanda was scrolling through Facebook while her daughters were getting haircuts when she stopped to read the post.
She instantly decided to adopt Leialoha to put an end to her misery.
She put up a post recently where she wrote that on seeing Leialoha’s condition, she was heartbroken and wanted to foster her. She revealed that since Tuesday night, the dog had gotten better.
While initially, Leialoha stayed only inside her kennel, last Tuesday, the dog came out of the kennel to meet Amanda’s friend and to see what was for dinner.
The dog also likes to be under their coffee table. She concluded by writing that the worst is over for the dog, and she has a long way to go.
The post had two pictures of Leialoha who still looked sore and red but happy. People are replying with praises for both Amanda and PAWS Hawaii.
