A loyal dog from New Jersey loved nothing more than his ‘dad.

Like other dogs, Moose would also wait for his owner to return when he had to leave the house.
But the jet black pooch faced a situation he couldn’t understand. His owner had an illness and was confined to a hospital bed at their home.
Moose became used to waiting next to the bed but what he didn’t know is that one day his ‘dad’ would leave the bed and never come back.
That moment happened. Moose’s owner had died but he continued to wait by the now empty hospital bed.
The loyal dog waited and waited and waited for his owner to return.
A photo taken by NorthStar Pet Rescue shows Moose sitting upright by the bed, looking outside. “Moose sat patiently next to his dad’s hospital bed, waiting for him to return, not knowing that ‘Dad’ had passed away,” NorthStar wrote on Facebook.
“Moose has now been returned to our friends at Eleventh Hour Rescue and he’s taking the loss of his dad pretty hard.”
Fortunately, the loving pooch won’t have to spend the rest of his life waiting. With the help of the Eleventh Hour Rescue, Moose has found a new forever home.
