Dolly Parton has spoken out about her youthful looks and insisted she won’t change much by the time she hits 95 if she gets to live that long.
As the 75-year-old music icon told Oprah Winfrey, she discovered that her secret to youthful looks is her plastic surgeon.
“I don’t think about my life in terms of numbers. First of all, I ain’t never gonna be old because I ain’t got time to be old. I can’t stop long enough to grow old,” the country star said during The Oprah Conversation on Apple TV+ after being asked about the impacts aging has on her life.
Parton also went on to vow that she “won’t look much different” by the time she hits 95 because she’s going to “look like a cartoon” thanks to her plastic surgeons.
“I bet you I won’t look much different when I’m 95, if I live that long, because I’m like the Gabor sisters. I’m gonna look like a cartoon,” she told Oprah.
“I’ll have on the makeup. I’ll look as young as my plastic surgeons will allow me and [with] all the makeup and lighting and all that. But I think more than anything, it’s about what comes from inside you.”
According to the diva, a positive attitude is just as important as physical looks when it comes to maintaining a youthful appearance.
“It’s an attitude and you gotta shine from within. Sometimes, that can make you feel young and make you seem young to other people,” the 75-year-old added.
The interview with Oprah followed just a month after Parton revealed she was thinking about posing for the Playboy magazine.
“I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste and they want it, we’ll do it along with a really good interview inside. So, yeah, it’s possible. Yep, we’ve talked about it,” the singer said during her appearance on the Scott Mills & Clark Stark Show last month.
