But on many occasions, not all people have the capacity to become pregnant. Probably, for one reason or another, some have chosen celibacy. But one amazing lady has a different version of what bareness means.
The 71-year-old actress and country music star, Dolly Parton is an amazing celebrity who has defied all odds and managed to remain relevant in the music industry for decades. Though, it is amazing to see that even with a successful music career, she can still afford to give back to the community.
Her latest work,” I Believe In You” is majorly written and designed for kids. Actually, it was released in 2017. So far so good since the album has received massive viewership and support from people across all continents. At a recent interview with the talk show Circuit, Parton explained the reasons behind her initiative. Specifically, she talked about her involvement with kids and the reason why she has not had kids of her own.
Apparently, Parton is married to Carl Dean for over 50 years. But, the sad bit of life is, they have not been blessed with a kid yet. Actually, they have tried all the medical solutions, but nothing has been forthcoming.
Yes, they were disappointed, but later Parton came to realize that it was part of God’s larger plan for her life. She accepted her situation and Parton was ready to become a mother to all kids. As tough as the calling is, so far she has managed to touch many people’s lives through her library initiative. More so, she is even a godmother to some of the top musicians such as Miley Cyrus.
While on the show, she explained further that all the proceeds from her album would be used to buy books for kids from all walks of life. Apparently, her albums release date actually coincided with her 100 millionth book donation that was founded in 1995. Well, her main goal with this initiative is to ensure that kids experience the goodness of reading books from a tender age. And to her, family background or income doesn’t matter as long as a kid learns something new.
Actually, it is an amazing project because at a young age kids begin to pick up things slowly. Therefore, supporting parents, to ensure that kids walk into kindergarten knowing how to write and spell is amazing.
Apparently, when she was asked why teenagers adore her, her reply was very simple. “Maybe it’s because I have a high pitched voice and I look like Mother Goose.” “Probably, that is why kids find it easy to interact with me.”
Well, you may not be so rich or a celebrity, but an act of kindness you extend towards other people is immeasurable.
