Donald Trump was accused of racism recently because of his tweet that suggested the four Congresswomen to go back where they came from.
These women are racial minorities.
The tweet read suggested the women to go back and fix their totally broken, crime infested places and then show him how it is done.
Amongst the four Congresswomen, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Alyanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, two are Muslim. Omar arrived at the U.S. with her family in 1990’s from Somalia but became a citizen when she was 17.
Tlaib was born in Detroit and is the daughter of two Palestinian immigrants. Pressley was born in Cincinnati and is the first African American woman in Congress.
Alexandria was born in Bronx borough in New York City. Only one of these 4 was born overseas.
Nancy Pelosi came to support these ladies and announced that a resolution will be composed which will condemn the President’s tweets against Cortez and her squad.
She accused the President of going beyond his own low standards for using disgraceful language against the Congresswomen and called his attack disgusting.
Trump defended his tweet saying that he asked them to leave if they want and suggested that the immigrants hate the U.S. and that he will not support anybody who hates the country and Israel and love for enemies like Al-Qaeda.
He was also attacked by Nancy that he wants to make America white again to which he retaliated saying that he never said that. Nancy tweeted that when he told the four Congresswomen to leave, his plans to ‘Make America Great Again’.
Cortez also tweeted to defend her squad. She said in the tweet that the country she comes from is the U.S. and praised her fellow squad members for their deeds.
Pressley, Tlaib and Omar also tweeted where they said that they are fighting against corruption in the country and reassured that they only want the country to grow.
