It’s an early win for former US President Donald Trump who managed to secure 70% of the 2024 GOP nomination votes.
Trump received a great triumph when it came to the Conservative Political Action Conferences which were recently held in the state of Texas over the weekend. This was in relation to securing his GOP nomination for the upcoming 2024 Presidential elections.
While Trump won first place, it wasn’t easy to miss out on second place which went to Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis who managed to secure 21 percent of the votes in his favor.
However, it was surprising to note how none of the other candidates managed to get more than 1 percent of the votes, as there were a total of 19 others.
The statistics from the past reveal how Trump’s majority of votes was also historic for the former Commander in Chief who broke his own record from the past, going up 55% in the majority from his 2024 Republican primary matchup straw poll. This event reportedly took place in the city of Orlando during the later days of February, as reported by Fox News.
After winning, Donald Trump did spare a few moments to thank all of those individuals who came out to support him. “I really would like to personally thank all of you for showing me so much support,” he added during one of his keynote address speeches.
But as one can expect, Trump didn’t miss the opportunity to call out US President Joe Biden as well as taking a dig at the critical race theory too.point 240 |
