Sexual stereotypes often lead to huge assumptions on what types of relationships we can expect to see in society and the continuing surge in LGBT rights has meant that gay marriages, which were considered unusual before, have become part of the norm.
However, there’s one couple whose marriage reminds us that there is more to a relationship than what we typically know.
YouTube channel Barcroft TV introduces us to Jeremiah Dauberly and Meagan Rodriguez who are currently in their mid-twenties. They got married in their early twenties and both are living in an apartment in Norfolk, Virginia with their pet beagle. Nothing unusual there so far until you find out that Jeremiah is actually a drag queen.
He first started to get interested in make-up when he was 20 and actively started to perform in drag when he was 21. He talked to Meagan about it from the start, of course, and at first, she was a bit weirded out and asked him if he needed to find out more about his sexuality. But she eventually came to accept it and is now Jeremiah’s biggest fan and supporter.
As if their relationship wasn’t unusual enough, they both identify themselves as asexual, meaning that they don’t hold any sexual desire towards each other or anyone else.point 379 |
