Drake surprises an 11–year-old girl Sofia Sanchez at Lurie’s Children Hospital of Chicago on Monday.
Sofia Sanchez is a patient at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is awaiting a heart transplant was seen dancing in a video posted by the hospital last Wednesday to the famous rapper’s song ‘Kiki do you love me’?
In another video, Sofia asks Drake to visit her over the weekend, as he was performing in Chicago. Sofia, who celebrated her birthday on Saturday, only had two wishes, to receive a new heart and to meet Drake.
Drake fulfilled her one wish and paid a surprise visit to Hospital.
He posted a sweet picture with Sofia on his Instagram and captioned it, “Me and my love Sofia talking about Bieber and Owls and Basketball.”
Drake gifted Sofia a hat with the word “Scorpion” which is the title of his fifth studio album. Sofia looked so happy after meeting Drake.
The video shows, Drake walks into the room and Sofia screams saying ‘’Oh my god!’’
Then Drake asks her what she is watching on her laptop, and the girl says it is the popular CW drama Riverdale.
‘’Have you seen it? It’s on Netflix,’’ she asks Drake.
‘’I’ve seen it once or twice,’’ Drake replies with a laugh, then asks her ‘’You wanna give me a hug or what?’’
‘’Yes! Please,’’ Sofia replies with joy.
‘’I’m so happy I got to see you,’’ Drake tells the girl.
Sofia responds, ‘’I’m so happy you came!’’
Sofia was recently diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, a heart muscle condition that can make it hard for the heart to deliver blood to the body and potentially lead to heart failure.
Three weeks ago, Sofia underwent open heart surgery in order to connect a mechanical pump to help support her heart and blood flow.
Sofia said: ‘’’He’s one of the first wishes I got in a long time,’ she said in a sweet video posted by the hospital.’’
