Record producer and rapper Dr Dre is admitted to the ICU after suffering a brain aneurysm, TMZ reported.
The 55-year-old was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where doctors said they do not know what exactly caused the bleeding.
Ice Cube, a fellow NWA member, took to Twitter and wrote: “Send your love and prayers to the homie Dr. Dre.”
The music mogul is lucid and stable as doctors perform a battery of tests.
“Prayers up for Dr. Dre and his family,” Robert Griffin III wrote on Twitter.
“Praying for Dr. Dre right now,” Terry Crews added.
Dre, whose full name is Andre Romelle Young, is in the middle of a divorce with his estranged wife Nicole, who reportedly wants $2 million a month in temporal spousal support.
He currently pays her $293,306 per month through a court order.
According to TMZ, Nicole also wants $5 million for attorney fees but her estranged husband says he has been paying all of her expenses and the $2 million demand was insane.
Dre also says the $5 million fees are outrageous as her attorneys have only been working on the case for a few months.
Nicole also reportedly wants a judge to reject a prenuptial agreement she signed in 1996, claiming Dre tore it up early on in their marriage as a romantic gesture. However, the megaproducer strongly denies that.
The record producer co-founded the Beats by Dre empire with Jimmy Iovine. He also helped launched Death Row Records. His many producing credits include Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Tupac Shakur.
Dr Dre’s 1992 album The Chronic made him a music superstar.
He then branched out and became a music mogul worth almost $1 billion.
