A drunk driver was arrested after cops caught him driving without front tires.
Police noticed the vehicle ‘struggling’ at around 1:50 am on the M66 near Bury, Great Manchester and were shocked when they realized the car had no front tires.
Officers were stunned even further when they discovered that the drunk driver had 196ml of alcohol per 100ml of breath, which is 6 times the legal maximum.
The Greater Manchester Police shared the shocking incident on Twitter and wrote: “Driver stopped by #traffic on the M66 SB prior to Jct 2 when they noticed a vehicle struggling to drive as it had NO front tyres!! No surprise when the driver was arrested after providing a roadside breath test of 196!! #fatal5 #nonefortheroad #XT.”
It may seem unbelievable that someone could drive without noticing that a tire or two are missing but this is not the first time it has happened.
Only weeks before this bizarre incident, another man was caught driving only with three tires.
After pulling the vehicle over, cops discovered that the man was ‘incredibly drunk.’ And it was not all he was arrested for. He also had no insurance, had left a road traffic collision, and his license was expired.
One Twitter user commented: “How the feck do they find their car keys when they are that pissed? My lot cant find theirs sober! Great work guys.”
Another wrote: “As a driving instructor. I want to know if those tyres are ok for test on a serious note the courts need to take these cases more seriously and sentences need to show that. Atm this doesn’t happen. Either guidelines need changing or judges need to enforce better.”
A third added: “Name and shame when the courts are done with them.”
