Sunglasses have four types. The type two sunglasses transmit 18 to 43 percent of light. They are the most suggested lens for driving at day time. Drivers that uses intensely tinted sunglasses while driving are in danger of a fine.
The AA website states: “Filter category 4 lenses only transmit between 3 percent and 8 percent of light and are not suitable for driving at any time.”
These lenses are typically used for adventure sports or in outdoor activities. However, some casual pairs of sunglasses may also contain heavily polarized lenses. Wearing lenses that fall into this class would probably observe your face a comparative careless driving charge.
