Art can be expressed in just about any form that the human mind can think of and even today, the variety of artworks that are coming out is just astounding.
You would have thought that in the thousands of years that humans have been on this planet, everything that people could think of creating would have been created but that’s just not true.
Whether it’s a grand sculpture that is unveiled under media coverage in a famous museum or the street busker just plying his trade just as any normal person would, they are all expressions of art that deserve our respect and attention.

And when it comes to art, nothing can be as breathtaking as sand art. It’s not just the fact that etching lines in the sand require intricate control, it’s the fact that most of the time, the true scale of the artwork can only be appreciated from the air.
In this drone footage, we see this amazing patterned art on the shores of Brean Beach in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset. Artist Simon Beck was fully occupied with his project on August 31 when 37-year-old Raed Shakman flew his drone over the beach.
Simon can be observed completing the final two petals of a spiraling flower that has been etched into the sand. Its 50-meter size dwarfs Simon and we can only appreciate the scale of the whole thing thanks to Raed’s DJI Mavic drone.
Raed said: “ Simon is one of the most passionate, unique and genuine people I have ever met, he has a great passion for patterns and shapes which he tries to reflect with his art.
“Simon describes himself as a Snow Artist, he comes out to Brean Beach and does his sand art when he’s not pursuing his passion for drawing on snow.
“I wanted to show people what it takes to come up with such a beautiful result, how he does it and where.
“I also wanted to show people what he does after it’s done and how the tides, yet again, beautifully embrace his drawing as if to tell Simon to come back again for another drawing on this beautiful beach.”
In a way, it’s sad that this piece of art will be washed away so easily but at least a piece of it has been preserved for posterity via the drone’s footage.
