Duchess Kate Middleton Slay BAFTA Red Carpet with a White and Gold Gown by Alexander McQueen


The Duchess Kate Middleton stuns the audience with a recycled white and gold Alexander McQueen gown.

The Duchess of Cambridge first wore this piece during a state dinner in Malaysia on 2012.

The royal couple is the guest of honor for the 73rd annual EE British Academy Film Awards at the Royal Albert Hall this evening.

They made it a tradition to attend the yearly occasion, with this year as their fourth time in a row to have walked the red carpet.

Alexander McQueen’s designs are one of the Duchess’ favorite, who usually steps out in the British brand through the years.

Covered in gold Malaysian hibiscus flowers and layered over white flowing fabric, the white gown was slightly changed, with original sheer cap sleeves replaced with a structured shoulder.

The royal added glamour to the outfit by pairing it with a pair of Jimmy Choo glitter heels and an Anya Hindmarch clutch bag.

She also showed off a set of Van Cleef and Arpels dangling earrings and a drop necklace.

Prince William also did not hold back and looked dapper in his bow tie and black dinner suit, which he had also worn before, with a pair of smart black loafer shoes.

At the event, the Duke of Cambridge presented the Fellowship award to Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy.

This year’s event is the Duke of Cambridge’s tenth year as BAFTA president, and he addressed issues around diversity before presenting the award.

He lauded the exceptional filmmaking and reflected on his 10 years as president, yet he finds it slightly alarming that many of the winners have portrayed members of his own family.
