Losing a parent is never easy being it at the age of 8 or 80.
A parent is the closest part of a person’s being and this is why we can understand what a devastating loss it is for Dwayne Johnson.
He gave a goodbye message to his father thanking him for making Dwayne for who he is now.
Dwayne Johnson’s father Rocky Johnson was a professional Canadian wrestler who has died at the age of 75.
The news was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment’s website as the post read that WWE is saddened by the news of Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson’s departure at the age of 75 years of age.
Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s sports journalist and editor was the first one who broke out the news on Twitter as he wrote “It is horrible news. Ricky Johnson passed away at the age of 75. God bless and support Dwayne and his family in this tough time.”
Rocky who was born with his original name Wayde Douglas Bowles when he was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, started his wrestling career in the year 1964 when he was just 16 years old.
He became National Wrestling Alliance Georgia Champion and constantly in the ’70s, 80’s, and 90’s kept winning several championships.
He started his WWE career in 1983 and started wrestling with Tony Atlas. The two were then a part of the world’s very first African American tag team.
He took his retirement in 1991 but then he went on to train his son Dwayne for wrestling. Being grateful for what his father had done and put in him for making him what he is today he thanked his father on Instagram back in 2018.
The entire Dwayne family must be in terrible pain right now and all they need is our prayers for Rocky.
