For a mother the worst thing to imagine is her child forgetting her.
This is the one thing Lena never wanted to happen even after when she is gone.
It was the worst thing to happen to Lena, when she discovered that she was dying. Life had been perfect for her but in 2017 her nightmare came alive when the doctors told her that they have no cure to her sickness.
Lena loves her daughter in an extravagant way just like any other mother would love her child. She knows that she will soon leave the world but she wants to be around her daughter forever, even if it is not physically.
To do the same, she decided to write letters that her daughter can open on each of her birthdays until the 5 years old turns 40. She has written these letters and has mentioned almost all the things a girl has to go through in life when she needs her mother around.
She shared her story saying “It was 2015 when I first got a hint of my sickness. I have a motor neuron disease and had multiple sclerosis. My doctor told me that they have no cure to the disease and I knew that I do not have much time to live.
I was crossing the street one day back in 2015 when one of my legs left behind. It was like I had no strength in that leg and I was not able to move it. I rushed to the doctor very same day and after an MRI he told me that there was a ligament tear.
I went back home. Then there was this second time when I was messing around with my daughter and all of a sudden I fell to the ground and just couldn’t move. I went back to the doctor when he gave me the news of my diseases.”
Lena has written 35 letters for her daughter’s each birthday. She wrote these letters so that her daughter doesn’t forget her. She is happy to do it because she says that she is leaving behind a part of herself that will keep her alive for her daughter.
