If you’ve always been a battle with your curly locks, Dyson may just have the product for you with their revolutionary new hair straightener that they claim will give you “salon-straight” hair in SECONDS.
The Corrale hair straightener was launched on March 11 and it promises not to damage your precious hair in the process, unlike other straightening devices.
Dyson poured an astounding $49 million into the R&D for the Corrale and they promise it will give “outstanding style anywhere, at any time – quicker.”
The cordless tool uses “flexing plates” to gather and style hair and is the product of seven years worth of research and testing on different types of hair.
The “flex” shapes and gathers the hair so that the heat and tension are evenly applied to all the hair strands for each pass. This removes the need to repeatedly make a pass over the same section of hair, thus preventing heat damage.
Dyson’s intelligent heat control, also used in the AirWrap styler, is also a standard feature in the Corrale. This system utilizes air instead of heat to style hair.
A 360-degree magnetic charging cable is also included and will fully charge the Corrale in 70 minutes. A full charge can give up to 30 minutes of styling.
The device has three heat settings: 165 degrees Celsius, 185 degrees Celsius or 210 degrees Celsius.
The heat is adjusted depending on the type of hair.
“Since we first started developing the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer, we have continued to explore the science of style, seeking to understand what makes hair smooth, shiny and glossy, and what makes it dull, damaged and lifeless,” Founder and Chief Engineer James Dyson said.
“We have been worried about the style results and heat damage from flat plate straighteners.
“Flat hair irons apply tension and heat only on the thickest part of the hair tress, the strands at the edges are not clamped, leaving them slack, unheated and leaving flyaways.”
He continued: “It requires multiple passes on the same section of hair tress to give an even look, by which time excess heat may have caused reduced strength and less gloss.”
Dyson added that he and his team found out that if the plates could “conform to the precise profile of the trees,” the right amount of tension could be applied evenly to the strands on each pass.
“This means that we get an enhanced style and without excessive heat damage,” he said.
“We simply do not need the heat that others apply.”
While the Dyson Corrale retails at a pricey $699, the company promises that the revolutionary haircare it provides makes it worth every dollar.
