A company from the United States has offered to pay a hefty $1,000 to someone who watches all the 10 movies of the Star Wars franchise before December 20 when the Rise of Skywalker is going to be released.
In order to get the $1,000 reward, the candidates for the competition are required to watch all the 10 movies in one go and share what they think online in real-time as they enjoy the movies.
The time it would take to watch all those movies in one go, according to the official page of the competition, is 22 hours and 25 minutes. The movies will be provided in Blu-Ray quality by CableTV.com.
Now, this looks like a dream job for the Star Wars fans, but there might not be a lot of vacancies available.
The movies you need to watch to win the $1,000 prize include the starting trilogy episodes (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi), the three prequels to these movies (The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith) and two of the three sequels namely The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
While the third sequel is going to be released on December 20, the remaining two movies are the non-episodic prequels of the series, Solo and Rogue One.
CableTV says that the sequence of watching the movies is not any specific one. The contestants can watch the movies in chronological order, in the release sequence, or in any other order they want.
The prize also includes premium Star Wars merch as well. These are an R2-D2 popcorn popper, a Han Solo Nerf blaster and a Chewbacca onesie.
The deadline for the gig is December 20, the date when the latest Star Wars movie Rise of Skywalker is going to be released.
Aspirants for the job can submit their applications in a maximum of 200 words describing why they are the perfect candidate for the gig.
The deadline for application submission is on December 11 by 7 pm ET.
