On Thursday, an earthquake of 6.3 magnitudes on the rector scale was recorded on the coast of Oregon. We are not sure for how long it was felt on the coast or how strong it felt on the beach but there is no high risk involved.

Generally, earthquakes around the sea and the beaches are the cause of a tsunami but the experts say there is no fear of tsunami for now.

The epicenter of the quake was nowhere near the land. Infect it was about 150 miles away, (240 km) from the mainland and approximately 5.4 kilometers deep in the Pacific Ocean that caused the quake around 8 in the morning.

The cause of this quake was the slipping of a fault called Blanco Fracture Zone which slipped along the offshore.

The quake had nothing to with the more popular Cascadia fault, which is believed to cause a major quake in the Pacific Ocean that will indeed have a major impact on the land too.

According to the experts, the episodic slip cluster is also not responsible for the event.

The slips that are happening are not too strong and they were not felt by the humans but they were recorded by the monitoring devices.

Bordin said “we don’t know what mother earth is trying to convey to us or is it a warning in the disguises but we know that the quake occurred at a very unsurprising place.
