Cooking is essential, but it can be a chore.
It’s too easy to make too much food or not enough, depending on whether you’re cooking for yourself, your family, or your friends.
I don’t know about you, but I try to focus on eating healthy. I spend a lot of my time chopping vegetables and cooking over my stove in hopes of hitting all the food groups with each meal.
But sometimes I want to treat myself with dessert. And when that time comes, I don’t want to spend another hour in the kitchen baking from a complicated recipe.
If this describes you too, then you are going to love this recipe.

Make a peach cobbler with just a can of peaches, a stick of butter, and a box of vanilla cake mix. If you already have these ingredients then you’re in luck, because you can whip this up right now!
The steps are simple. Grab a baking pan that meets the measurement requirements of the cake mix you have. Dump the can of peaches into the pan. No need to drain, just toss the peaches in and keep going.
Empty the cake mix on top of the peaches. Spread the mix so that it’s evenly distributed. Then cut the stick of butter into thin slices and place on top of the cake.
Bake the cake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes and voila! You have peach cobbler!

What makes this recipe even more appealing, besides of course how easy it is, is that you can keep these ingredients on hand for whenever you need to quickly bake up a delicious dessert.
If you’re not planning to share this dessert (we totally understand if you don’t want to) you can freeze pieces and heat them up later.
If you have any vanilla ice cream on hand, we recommend adding a scoop on top of your cake, but no worries if you’re not an ice cream fan—this cobbler is delicious no matter what!
