Addiction to anything is never good for health.
People can have bizarre addictions sometimes that are hard to digest.
Recently a weird addiction of a woman has been doing rounds on the internet. Lisa Anderson, 44 is addicted to eating talcum powder and can even consume the 200g talcum powder in a day.
Lisa started eating the bathroom stable around 15 years ago and felt overwhelming cravings to eat more while drying his toddler after the bath.
Now her cravings have significantly intensified over the years that now she scoffs powder every 30 minutes. She even gets up multiple times during the night to curb her cravings.
Lisa claims that she has spent around £8000 on her cravings. She even agrees that Johnson’s baby powder is her favorite and it costs her £10 per week.
The longest Lisa has survived without eating even one talcum powder is just two days.
Lisa kept her weird addiction hidden over a decade and finally confided in her ex-partner who kept asking why she has to sneak into the bathroom every now and then.
She didn’t realize her weird habit will turn into a health ailment until she decided to seek medical assistance when doctors said that she might have pica syndrome.
This eating disorder is categorized as eating non-food items such as dust, dirt, paint, etc. Talcum powder is considered poisonous when consumed or inhaled. It is even proven that powder can result in cancer in women who have been using the product on their skin.
Lisa explained that earlier she was attracted to its smell and now she can’t possibly survive without scoffing it. The two days that she has been without the talcum powder was the worst day of her life and she barely survived them without getting an anxiety attack or stroke.
