One such initiative is taken by a local drug store that urges its customers to be eco-friendly by placing a Product Refilling Station.
Although, planting trees is what we all talk about when considering the eco-friendly environment, but it alone is not a complete solution to all the complexity we humans and other species are facing.
Recently, a photo has gone viral on Reddit in which a cleaning product refiller is placed in a drug store.
This photo of a machine in a drug store in the Czech Republic was posted on Reddit by Lord-AG. This machine is basically used to refill empty dishwashing liquid bottles and laundry detergent.
However, in this case, this drug store has placed this machine to refill their clean empty product bottles instead of buying a new bottle every time.
This local drug store in the Czech Republic is Rossman, a chain of German Pharmacies.
Rossman has recently joined hands with Henkel, a German Chemical and Consumer Goods Company, to reduce the problems associated with disposable plastic packaging.
There is a statement placed on the machine stating, “Beauty is Saving the Nature Together”.
We all are well aware of the hazardous effects of plastic on our environment.
That is why, different initiatives are already in place to reduce plastic use, and even in some countries it is banned to use plastic.
Nonetheless, this initiative by the local drug store is really encouraging, as at their end they are making sure that they are contributing to making this environment healthier for all of us.
According to SOAP Refill Station, which is a home and body care product retailer aiming to reduce single-use waste by letting customers refill the container they bring to the store, again and again, it makes sense as everyone now knows that plastic never goes away.
But, we as humans, on our end can reduce, reuse, and refill to our maximum. An overwhelming response over the internet has been observed by this initiative by the drugstore.
