If you ever get in trouble with your neighbors, Ed Sheeran is the person you could get some inspiration from.
The singer has apparently eradicated the entire problem by buying a number of houses near his Suffolk’s residence in Framlingham. I mean, that’s one way to deal with your neighbors.
Ever since Ed bought his enormous farmhouse in 2012, he has been buying up properties around.
The musician has reportedly spent a whopping $4.5 million for purchasing the nearby houses, which include a bungalow he bought in 2017, a detached house he bought in 2016, and a Grade II listed house he bought in 2012.
Ed reportedly bought the extra residences because his neighbors were disturbed by the all building works the singer wants to carry out with his original farmhouse, the Metro reports.
According to the Daily Mail, Ed’s planning consultants submitted a request with the local council to execute the works to his house garden in November 2018.
The plans were designed by Sue Townsend, a renowned garden designer from Suffolk.
“The works involve laying new paving and composite decking around three properties, creating a kitchen garden with raised oak beds, brick paver and gravel paths, building the brick plinth base for a greenhouse,” the outlet said of the plans submitted by Ed’s consultant.
Ed also wanted to have a giant treehouse as well as a 32ft chapel in his residence, but his neighbors didn’t like the idea too much.
One of Ed’s neighbors wrote a letter to the council, complaining: “We have no problems with the proposal but query the mention of the chapel which has not gained permission and is most likely to be an oversight and would also request that all external lighting is switched off between midnight and 7am.”
The locals were also not too keen about Ed’s giant kidney-shaped pond.
Ed’s neighbors are concerned that the singer has been using his pond for recreational activities.
“It all seems very strange but in actual fact it appears to have been very carefully thought through,” a local told the Daily Mail.
“The bales have been placed precisely in the right places and at the right angle to shield his pool.”
Ed was allowed to build the gigantic pool only if it were to be used to attract wildlife, but he is reportedly using it for leisure activities like fishing and swimming.
