He had to take help from a translator to explain his words to the court.

With the help of the translator, he said that he had been tortured for literally 24 hours a day inside his cell of Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center where he had been since January of 2017.

He added more to his words by saying that he was denied a fair chance of fighting the case. This is why according to him, America is no better than any other country that is sunk in the water of corruption.

The only people present for the hearing were his wife Emma Coronel Aispuro, Rosa Isela, his oldest daughter who holds American citizenship and his niece Dania.

One of the most important complaints he made was that he was not allowed to contact his wife since he had been in jail.
