No one could stop him from getting across to the other side of the road – not even a railway barrier.

The video was shared online and received thousands of likes and comments. Internet users praised the smart elephant.

We do agree! It was very clever of him to lift the railway barrier to cross the road but he could have been killed by the train.

Thankfully, no train was there!
