Elephants are large animals that are not scared of anyone.
These animals tend to live in large groups and tribes. Elephants are social animals and thus, depend on their tribe and group for their survival. Living in a group has inculcated emotions in them.
Animals, although, are different for humans and have different emotions, if they have any. Scientists have accepted that elephants represent emotions just like humans. Affection, hatred, sympathy, anger are a few they show.
All the female animals in the tribe make loud noises out of their trunk as a celebration when a baby is born in the tribe. It is a time of utter joy for them and they love to express it out.
Elephant mothers even go into depression or a state of despondency when her calf dies. These all show that elephants are human-like when it comes to emotions.
Elephants are moody and you never know when they decided what they want to do. Although the animals are temperamental they are also very friendly and show too much affection for animals as well as humans around them.
Well, Thongsri is a 17-year-old elephant who lives in a sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. One day while taking a walk in the sanctuary, Thongsri saw her caretaker was being attacked by someone.
Thongsri is a very well behaved elephant and displays immense affection towards humans.
Her caretaker was the one who she is most attached with. When she saw someone attacking him, she couldn’t keep her temper inside for the attacker and ran towards the two.She came near her caretaker and covered him.
She stood like a shelter over him so that the attacker cannot touch him. She bent her front legs and kept walking around him in the same manner. She did not leave him alone until she was sure that the attacker is not around and the caretaking is safe now.The video was shared in the year 2015 and has acquired more than 11 million views till now.
