A wild elephant was caught on camera taking a nap and blocking the traffic in the middle of a road in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

As 57-year-old Nattawat Patsungsing who was just passing by on his motor said, the massive mammal was lying still for around 20 minutes before standing up and walking away.
During the beast’s nap, Nattawat took a video of the Indian elephant and remained completely silent to avoid waking up the animal and making it charge at him.
In the short footage, the elephant is seen flapping its ears and jerking its legs while sleeping. Then, it suddenly moves its legs, stands up, and stares at the man before walking away.
“Oh boy…you’re taking the entire road. Can you please move, little boy? I really have to go to work,” Mr. Patsungsing is heard saying in the video.
Speaking of the incident, the man explained that the wildlife officials told him that the elephant, Nga-Thong, was known for being troublesome in the area.
“Nga-Thong doesn’t like to reveal himself when the road is busy with cars and loud buses, so most of the time it’s national park officers who see him. They said he’s very shy,” the 57-year-old added.
“I was waiting about twenty minutes until he finally got up. I was late for my shift at work that day but I was happy to see him so close.”
Fortunately for the man and the elephant, no one got harmed in the process and they both made it where they had to be – though one of them was 20 minutes late!
