Elon Musk and his girlfriend Grimes have given their baby X Æ A-Xii a new nickname.
The couple announced their son’s unique name earlier this year and sparked a huge debate as people wondered how to pronounce his name.
Their adorable son, who they call X for short, has been given another nickname by his parents.
The SpaceX billionaire, 49, and his girlfriend Grimes, 32, call their baby ‘c’ – the symbol for the speed of light.
Singer Grimes, whose real name is Claire Bloucher, told the New York Times: “I’ve watched Apocalypse Now and stuff with my baby.
“He’s into radical art. Like, he just actually is, and I don’t think it’s problematic to engage with them on that level.”
Grimes also said that her son has helped her make a new song.
“The first version, there was too many sort of sharp bells, and it caused tears and just general chaos. X would smile more and stuff,” she said.
“I was basically personally just referencing ambient music I’ve heard, and then kind of trying to make it cuter. It’s a bit sparklier, a bit nicer.”
Elon previously admitted that his girlfriend plays a bigger role in their child’s life than he does at the moment.
“Well, babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know? Right now there’s not much I can do. Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now,” he previously told The Times.
“When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.”
Their baby was originally named X Æ A-12 but Elon and Grimes decided to change it to X Æ A-Xii for legal reasons.
A supervisor at the Department of Public Health Vital Records Office in Los Angeles said that it is illegal to include numbers and symbols in the names on birth certificates.
