It’s now up to the fans to figure out how to say that.

People all over social media are busy deciding how that string of letters, numbers and a special character might be pronounced.

According to some, the a-e character called Æ is supposed to be pronounced as “Ash” and the X might point towards the X in SpaceX.

Some have speculated that the strange name might be inspired by Grime’s songs from her latest album 4ÆM.

Others have tried to link the name to Lockheed A-12, the predecessor of the world’s fastest air-breathing manned vehicle SR-71 Blackbird.

It remained a mystery for the fans whether Musk was serious about the name of his son or was it just a prank for his fans. One follower even said that the name would be “tough on the teacher.”

Shortly after Musk announced the birth of his son, he shared a photo of himself holding the baby with a tattoo filter applied to the newborn’s face.

Another one gathered a number of references and deduced that the name meant: “Ash Lockheed Musk. Final Answer.”

While some of the Twitter users were trying to decode the name, for others it was just too difficult to comprehend.

A Twitter user, unable to decipher the name, jokingly said: “Musk: We name our baby X Æ A-12 Midwife: Sir our bracelet printer won’t print that Musk: Let me fix that for you, have this Midwife: Sir that is a submarine.”

Another tweeted: “But pronounced “Musk” because the X Æ A-12 is silent.”
