A guy from Melbourne, Australia known as David Hingst sued his ex-boss for lifting his bum and farting on him at work.
According to the AAP reporter, David said in the court that Greg Short who is his ex-colleague come in the small windowless room and farts at him. David considers Flatulence as a form of bullying another person.
David started calling Greg ‘Mr. Stinky’ and used to spray 56 bottles of deodorants on him. David also explained how he used to sit in the room facing the wall whenever Mr. Stinky used to come in that small, windowless room.
He also claimed that Greg would do this more than five or six time every day and then he would walk out of place.
David then explained how this Flatulence had caused him stress, and that’s why he sued Greg for $1.8 millions as compensation. The Supreme Court of Victoria took the case in April, and Hingst is waiting for the solution.
The case came to the Court of Appeal as the Justice Rita Zammit thinks that even if farting occurred then it can not necessarily amount to bullying.
While the hearing was going on Greg said that he doesn’t remember doing anything at all, but it may have happened once or twice.
He was very clear about it that he doesn’t remember doing it, but Greg cannot do anything if David claims that he did it. Greg also said that even if it happened, then he didn’t do it to give stress to David.
When another former employee from the company known as Phillip Hamilton was in the court, he said that Mr. Hingst has problems and gets offended by the stuff that goes around.
He also said that David sits behind him and Greg keeps walking over to the printer which is next to me so he would walk around and fart quite frequently.
When David said that Greg used to raise his bum to fart at me to which Justice Phillip Priest told that then you used to spray deodorant on him. Justice Priest also said that the farts weren’t the main issues because David also keeps mentioning some phone calls.
David feels that he was not given a fair trial and the judge was against him, but the judge says he doesn’t find anything against Greg and David was given a fair opportunity to present himself well.
