Reportedly, an Esports-themed hotel will open in Osaka’s geek district Nipponbashi, in next April.
Called Esports Hotel E-Zone Cyberspace in English, it is the first of its kind in Japan.
Including the basement’s shower area, the hotel will have nine floors. Fashion Snap reports that floors one to three are the gaming floors, with over 70 high-spec, streaming-ready gaming PCs.
The fourth to eighth floors will have sleeping cabins, so it sounds like this will be no-frills lodging. However, there are special digs on the seventh floor with in-room gaming PCs.
The hotel is aimed at those who are new to esports as well as at old hands. No word yet on per-night rates. The hotel is scheduled to open its doors on April 4, 2020.
This will be the best option for those who want the gaming experience with a better quality stay.
The seventh floor of the hotel will come with much fancier suites, complete with their own in-room gaming PC so that you don’t need to go out of your room or may not have neglected to visit the basement since they arrived five days earlier.
You can enjoy the best gaming experience in your own room.
Maybe, the company behind the hotel wish to hold their own esports competitions and events at the hotel, but this has yet to be confirmed. Given that spectating is a huge part of esports, I’d be very surprised if this wasn’t accommodated in some way.
Pricing and room rates for the Esports Hotel E-Zone Cyberspace have not officially announced, but given that it will be the first of its kind and offers access to so many high-end PCs. If anyone wishes to visit Osaka in April next year for the grand opening, just start saving your pennies now. It will be a great deal for gaming lovers.
