John Callahan’s sudden death has left everyone in sorrow for the actor.
While the world will grief and then move on, there was someone who could not have survived without him.
After sudden death Eva LaRue, John Callahan’s ex-wife decided to adopt his dog, Cali. On Tuesday, she announced the news as she posted a slide show of her pictures with Cali on her Instagram. She added a caption to the post welcoming Cali to the family.
LaRue says that she had no plans to include another member that poops around the house but she could not have done this to Cali. She said Cali was John’s dearest and his little baby girl.
She also said that “We are in the toughest times right now and I believe a dog is God’s way of helping us.
She is only going to cheer us up and remind us of John in a happy way and we hope we are able to help her heal as well. She has lost the person who was her life.”
LaRue than added “Don’t worry John, your baby is in safe hands. I will keep her protected and loved.”
The pictures she had shared on Instagram were showing a little distracted Cali who was still trying to be her cheerful self.
John’s health was fine but he suffered from a heart stroke and passed away on March 28th.
LaRue paid tribute to her ex-husband saying “John’s loss has left us in pieces. He was a great friend, an amazing co-parent, and a fabulous person to be around.
Kaya and I are left devastated on our loss. Words cannot even express half of the devastation our hearts have been left in. Also, the Yankees have lost their greatest fan in the world. I pray he rests in peace. He will always be with us in our hearts and mind.”
