At first, he was very confused.

Why would she hide it?

In order to help him fully understand the phenomenon, Diva told him this background story.

Diva started ballet at the age of 3, and so she often had to wear her hair in tight buns. Continuing her career in Ballet, however, Diva unexpectedly experienced something terrible: Her hairline was receding.

When this started to happen, her peers noticed it and started to tease her about it.

She said, “I was bullied for my hairline in primary school and into secondary school, but it got really serious when I was about 13. I was completely self-conscious about it and did everything I could to hide the area. It affected me a lot, especially as I was being picked on. I remember the exact words a boy at school said to me:

He said I had a forehead the size of a football pitch. It then became such a big thing in my life.”

Even though she quit ballet when she was 18, her hair unfortunately did not grow back. This is why she wouldn’t let David see her with her hair pulled back.

After they got married and had two kids, however, the hair loss worsened.

Saddened, Diva wanted to do something about it. So, she did a quick research and found out that Dr. Edward Ball could help her.

“It completely changed my life – dramatically. I couldn’t be happier with how it looks.”

She also added the reason why she was sharing her story. She hopes to let others know about how common women’s hair loss is, so that others who are in her situation can get help instead of hiding their problems.
