The ex-wife of New Jersey lottery winner Mike Weirsky says his new-found money won’t be enough to win her back.

Mike went from rags to riches after he hit a staggering $273 million jackpot – but there are many twists in his story.

For instance, just a day before he won the lottery, Mike forgot the ticket at the Quick Check store in Phillipsburg. It was, however, found and preserved by a staff member.

When the 54-year-old returned to the shop the next day, the staff handed him his $2 ticket. And just a few hours after getting it back, Mike was a multi-millionaire.

During a news conference, Mike, who divorced his wife in October 2018, said he didn’t believe his eyes when he matched his ticket with the winning number.

“It’s going to change everything because I was unemployed,” he said.

“I always wanted to know what it would be like to be able to just wake up and be able to go somewhere, buy something. And when I get the money I’m going to do that.”

Mike was an unemployed stay-at-home husband who had been married to Eileen Murray for more than 15 years.

His ex-wife recently told the New York Post that she has no regrets about ending her relationship, adding she doesn’t want to live with him.

“He’s not appealing to me all of a sudden because he has this money,” she said. “I’m not going after anything. I have morals. I know what I’ve worked for and it’s everything that I have.”

Murray, a cost analyst for a utility company, was the sole breadwinner of the household during their relationship due to Mike’s unemployment.

She further said she had no plans to go after his money although she is still paying him spousal support.

“Think about it. How long did I work? How long did I support him? I had to give him a lot of money in the divorce,” she said.

“You tell me what’s the moral thing to do.”

Murray also negated the claims that she had called him, adding: “He’ll think I’m there with my hand out and I have no intention to do that.

“I truly wish him well… Though I know he doesn’t believe that. I want him to surround himself with good people. I don’t think anybody should be taken advantage of.”
