A baby that was reportedly hated by his own parents at birth because he was deformed was left at the hospital in what is being termed as a tragic case of abandonment.
However, one loving couple who included the nurse that helped deliver him did not leave him alone but instead, opted to adopt him.
Both husband and wife took the baby on board as one of their own and it’s a story that’s going viral for obvious reasons.
Baby Adam had Bartsocas-Papas Syndrome at birth, which is known to be a congenital disorder that is associated with the most severe deformities which include degeneration of the limbs and their poor development. But there’s a whole list of other problems that come forward in this birth defect.
The doctors present at the hospital informed Adam’s parents that this little child would not have much time to live, giving them an approximation of around three weeks or less.
For that reason, his real parents mentioned how they were not willing to take him home and revealed how they would be willing to take his life, in case they were forced to take the little newborn home with them.
As they were so worried about the little baby’s safety, the doctors at the hospital did not force or pressurize the parents. For that reason, they chose to keep him at the hospital, worried about his wellbeing.
But nurse Jessica Cooksey Paulraj came to the rescue when all others failed and she just couldn’t imagine the tragedy of leaving the baby abandoned.
After discussing with her husband, the couple adopted Adam as their son and treated him as one of their own.
Surprisingly, Adam beat all the odds against him and managed to survive.
Today, the couple is celebrating his third birthday, and refer to him as a huge blessing sent from above.
