Devoted Dad Names His Newborn Baby After His Place Of WORK And Insists His Wife Agreed With It


A devoted father who loves his place of work so much has decided to name his son ‘Department of Statistical Communication’.

Slamet ‘Yoga’ Wahyudi from the Indonesian regency of Brebe explained that he and his wife Ririn Linda Tunggal Sari agreed that he would be allowed to choose the name for their child if she gave birth to a boy.

When their son was finally born, he used his chance to name him Dinas Komunikasi Informatika Statistik (Department of Statistical Communication).

Speaking to a local news site, the dad said that his wife liked his decision, claiming: “At first it sounded strange, but thank God my wife did not mind.”

Their family and friends expressed their concerns over the unusual name but Yoga did not let their remarks stop him from making his decision.

He later agreed that his son would go by the nickname ‘Dinko,’ which is less of a mouthful.

Yoga, who had worked as a civil servant for over ten years, said he hopes that his son will grow up to be devoutly religious and ‘devoted to his family.’

He previously worked as a radio announcer before he found his true calling in statistical communication.

It is not clear if authorities I the country have accepted the bizarre name.

The woman said she and her partner agreed that if they had a boy, they would call him after her late father, Brian.

“Our first one was a girl, and much to our first discussion, I let him name her whatever he wanted. However, we just found out I was expecting a boy. He was super excited, until I started ordering stuff with the baby’s name on it.

“He asked me why I was ordering stuff with the name Brian, and I said it was obviously because that is what we were naming him.”
