A father has recently left the internet divided after he chose to cancel his daughter’s 16th birthday for her disgraceful behavior.
The man went on to reveal how he had zero regrets after making the bold decision, despite the fact that many felt that his actions were a tad bit too harsh.
According to the dad, his daughter was given a series of repeated warnings to try and improve her mannerism and attitude but she failed several times and that was just the last straw for him.
“She failed to listen despite so many of my warnings. All I wanted was her to behave well but she instead almost got one of her own friends hospitalized,” the father mentioned.
Putting up his story anonymously on a social media forum, the dad went on to explain how he promised his teenage child that she would be getting a party if she performed well in school and also stayed out of trouble.
Since things did appear to be going well at the start, the party was being organized into a grand celebration. After all, it was her sweet 16.
But then all of a sudden, the father was beyond shocked when he reportedly received one phone call from his own daughter’s teacher who reportedly told him that his daughter managed to sneak in a bottle full of alcohol to school.
Hearing the awful news, the father lost his cool and opted to punish the teenager by canceling her birthday entirely.
Many were quick to react to his story, adding how he may have handled the situation in a rush of emotions, and hence they referred to it as being too hard. However, despite others’ comments, the father says he has decided to stand by the decision.
