A furious father has spoken out and sought advice on the internet after lashing out at his young son’s teacher.
As the father in question revealed, his 6-year-old son is looking forward to inviting some of his classmates to his upcoming birthday party. While the dad was more than happy to help with the arrangements, he soon received a call from his son’s teacher who found out what her son had been planning.
Much to the man’s shock, the teacher then demanded her son invite all of his 24 classmates and their parents to his birthday party because that is her ‘rule.’
“She then tells me that there is a rule that if any kids in the class are invited that all kids in the class are invited.point 355 |
I told her it is an event off school hours on private property in my home.point 59 | She can no more tell me what I do there and who I can and can’t invite any more than I can decide who is invited to her Thanksgiving dinner,” the man complained on Reddit.point 200 | 1
“She then tells me there is a good reason for the rule since kids get their feelings hurt if they get left out. So then I pointed out to her that there are 24 kids in the class. If their parents attend the party with them then that can be upwards of 72 people and I told her that’s just not a reasonable thing to ask.”
He added: “I also point out that he has friends from other classes attending, so do I have to invite that whole other class too? She then said ‘your son is in my class.point 262 |

Furious by the teacher’s persistence on the matter, the angry father then told her to mind her own business and go F herself.
“Lady, it’s pretty clear that you’re too used to bossing around kids who have to listen to you and that you don’t seem to understand that your little fiefdom ends at the end of the school day and doesn’t go further than schoolhouse gates,” the man recalled telling the teacher.
“I am not a six-year-old in your class. I’m a 38-year-old union electrician planning a private event in my own home, off school hours. If you think you’re the one to make the rules for me, in my home on which I pay the mortgage on, you can go f**k yourself and there isn’t a goddamn thing you can do about it.”
Asking Reddit if he went over the line for scolding the teacher and her absurd rule, the father posted his concern on Reddit where he received tremendous support.
“You can’t make people invite kids they don’t want. And if you do succeed in that quest; do you think the kid won’t be excluded at the party? This is not the way to include a bullied child and making it so that nobody can host a birthday anymore will only make the resentment bigger and the bullying worse,” someone wrote.
One teacher added: “Teacher here, and I agree with this! She was out of line for calling you in the first place, and then had the audacity to double down and insist that literally, anything that involves students in her class is her business.point 307 |
